13. Posterior Piece of the Mold

A three-piece silicone mold of the wax prototype positioner was made using silicone rubber. This mold was a perfect reverse copy of the prototype. The dental stone cast served as the first piece of the mold. The second piece of the mold was posterior to the helix. This was produced by first applying red boxing wax around the periphery of the cast, then pouring silicone rubber at an angle and allowing the silicone to set-up in that position.
