27. Implant Placement

The implant length was drilled at the antihelical marking sites. The drill hole was probed to ensure that the bone was intact at the medial aspect of the hole. A countersink was drilled at the implant site. The implant was then screwed into the hole. Finally, a cap covered each implant site to prevent growth of tissue into the top of the implant.
