12. Patient Fitting

The prototype was adjusted on the patient. The baseplate keyed into the patient's auricular trauma site to provide a stable foundation on which to adjust the ear sculpture. The ear sculpture was joined to the baseplate when the wax ear sculpture was positioned in the proper anterior-posterior, superior-inferior, and rotational position with adequate projection compared to the other ear.
