(A) shows the proper placement of the auricle and external auditory meatus in relationship
to the new canal with the meatus in conchal bowl and the tragus slightly covering.
(B) illustrates malposition of the auricle in relationship to the canal. The reconstructed
auricle is too anterior and inferior in relationship to the new auditory canal, resulting
in the meatus resting superior and posterior to the conchal bowl.
